Summary

Peg Perego is recalling about 550 YPSI and Z4 inclined sleeper bassinets that were manufactured on or after June 23, 2022. These products violate the Safe Sleep for Babies Act because they were marketed for infant sleep with an incline angle greater than 10 degrees and lack a required stand. No incidents or injuries have been reported to date. Consumers should immediately stop using these bassinets for infant sleep and contact the manufacturer for a refund or a repair to disable the recline feature.

Risk

The bassinets have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees, which creates a suffocation risk if an infant rolls from their back onto their stomach or side. Additionally, because the bassinets do not have a stand, they violate federal safety regulations for infant sleep products and pose a fall hazard.

  2. Check the label located in the hood or head area of the bassinet (accessible by lifting the pad/cushion and internal lining) for the manufacture date (YYYY/MM/DD) and model number. See the Affected Products section below for the full list of affected codes.
