Summary

Ducati North America is recalling 293 of its 2023 Diavel V4 motorcycles because the passenger foot pegs on the right or left side may break. This defect can occur suddenly while a passenger is mounting the motorcycle or during a ride. Owners are encouraged to take their motorcycle to an authorized dealer for a free inspection and potential replacement of the foot pegs.

Risk

A broken foot peg causes a passenger to suddenly lose their foot support, which can lead to a fall or cause the rider to lose control of the motorcycle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your motorcycle is a 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 affected by recall number SRV-RCL-23-002.
  2. Contact an authorized Ducati dealer to schedule a free appointment to have your right and left side passenger foot pegs inspected.
  3. If the inspection reveals defective components, the dealer will replace the passenger foot pegs with a reinforced version free of charge.
