Nova Bus (US) Inc. is recalling approximately 900 of its 2021-2024 LFS and 2021-2023 LFS Artic buses. An air leak in the parking brake valve can cause the parking brake to engage suddenly while the bus is moving without turning on the brake lights. Nova Bus will inspect and tighten the parking brake air line connections at no cost to owners to prevent this issue. Notification letters were sent to owners starting July 24, 2024.
If the parking brake engages unexpectedly without the brake lights turning on, the bus will stop suddenly, which significantly increases the risk of a rear-end collision or other crash.
Inspect and tighten the parking brake air line connections.
