Navistar, Inc. is recalling 91 of its 2024-2025 IC Bus CE SBUS school buses that are equipped with Intellipark Park Valve Modules (PVM). These buses have a defective rubber ball seal in the park valve module that can break and leak air, causing the parking brake to either fail to hold the vehicle or engage suddenly while the bus is in motion. Navistar dealers will replace the affected modules with a new part free of charge to resolve the safety issue.
If the seal fractures, the parking brake may fail to stay engaged when the bus is parked or could unexpectedly activate while driving, both of which significantly increase the risk of a crash.
Free replacement of the Intellipark Park Valve Module (PVM).
