Summary

Rosenbauer America is recalling 543 vehicles, including various models of the Avenger, Commander, Warrior, and commercial F-350, F-550, 108SD, and 114SD emergency and utility vehicles. In these vehicles, a firmware error can cause an output pin to stay on during a short circuit, overloading the electrical circuits. Owners of affected 2017-2024 models can receive a free firmware update from their local dealer to fix this safety issue.

Risk

If a short circuit or wiring failure occurs, the electrical system may fail to shut off, leading to overloaded circuits that can overheat and catch fire.
