Summary

H-E-B is recalling about 700 Outdoor Solutions Hammock and Sunshades because the seam in the canvas lounge can rip open unexpectedly during use. This defect causes the occupant to fall to the ground, posing a risk of injury. There have been two reports of seams tearing, with one incident resulting in bruising and discomfort. The product is a light-brown canvas hammock on a steel frame with a detachable sunshade and was sold exclusively at Texas H-E-B stores between February and June 2013. Consumers should stop using the hammock and return it for a full refund.

Risk

The fabric seams on the hammock lounge can fail and tear while in use, causing the user to fall through the hammock to the ground. This has already resulted in at least one report of bruising and physical discomfort.
