Summary

Porsche is recalling approximately 9,735 of its 2022-2023 Taycan vehicles. A technical error in the occupant classification system can cause the front passenger air bag to turn off incorrectly. To fix this, Porsche dealers will replace the front passenger seat cushion at no cost to the owner.

Risk

If the front passenger air bag is deactivated, it will fail to deploy during a crash, which significantly increases the risk of injury for the person sitting in that seat.
