Summary

Aston Martin is recalling 1,452 vehicles, including certain 2024-2025 DB12, 2025 Vantage, and 2025 DBX707 models. The rearview camera image may be obstructed by the infotainment home screen menu when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. This defect prevents the vehicles from meeting federal safety standards for rear visibility, but it can be fixed with a free software update provided by a dealer or via an over-the-air (OTA) update.

Risk

An obstructed rearview camera image significantly reduces the driver's visibility of the area behind the vehicle. This lack of visibility increases the risk of back-over accidents, crashes, or injuries to pedestrians and property.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your vehicle's infotainment system settings or contact a dealer to see if an Over-the-Air (OTA) software update is available for your head unit.
  2. If an OTA update is not available, contact an authorized Aston Martin dealer to schedule a free software update for your vehicle's head unit.
  3. Verify if your vehicle is included in this recall (Manufacturer Number RA-30-2015) by calling Aston Martin customer service at 1-888-923-9988.
  4. The head unit software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 12, 2025. Owners may contact Aston Martin customer service at 1-888-923-9988. Aston Martin's number for this recall is RA-30-2015.
  5. For additional questions or to check your VIN, contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
