Summary

Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. is recalling 7,541 of its 2022-2024 Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 motorcycles because a hose in the engine system may be blocked. This obstruction can cause the engine's computer to receive incorrect air pressure readings, leading to an unexpected engine stall. Dealers will replace the affected manifold absolute pressure (MAP) hose with a new one at no cost to the owner.

Risk

An obstructed hose causes the engine control unit to provide an incorrect air-to-fuel mixture based on faulty pressure data. This can cause the motorcycle to stall suddenly while in use, which increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if you own a 2022-2024 Triumph Trident 660 or a 2022-2024 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 motorcycle.
  2. Contact an authorized Triumph dealer to schedule a free appointment for the replacement of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) hose.
  3. If you have questions, contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010 and reference recall number SRAN 609.
