Summary

JinJiang Baimei is recalling about 600 Multifunctional Puzzle Crab Toys (model HY-99) sold exclusively through Walmart.com. These magnetic toy sets violate mandatory federal regulations because they contain high-powered magnets that pose a serious ingestion hazard to children. No incidents or injuries have been reported, but if magnets are swallowed, they can cause life-threatening internal damage. The sets include a magnetic fish hook, eight magnetic pieces, four plastic puzzle pieces, and a mallet.

Risk

If high-powered magnets are swallowed, they can attract each other or other metal objects through the walls of the intestines. This can lead to intestinal perforations, twisting, blockages, infection, blood poisoning, and potentially death.
