Summary

Mr Maria is recalling approximately 1,400 Miffy First Lights, which are 12-inch-tall rabbit-shaped silicone LED night lights. These lights can overheat during use, posing a potential burn hazard to consumers. The affected units have a blue label on the bottom and were produced in 2017 and 2018. Consumers should immediately stop using the light and contact the company for a free replacement LED module.

Risk

The internal LED module can overheat while the light is in use, creating a risk of burn injuries or fire. While no incidents have been reported, the product is intended for use in nurseries and children's rooms.

What You Should Do

  1. The recalled products are rabbit-shaped silicone night lights called Miffy First Lights (about 12 inches tall) with model numbers Mr LED 11 or Mr. LED 11A printed on a blue label on the bottom.
  2. Identify the production year by looking at the embossed circle on the bottom right foot of the light; a '7' to the right of the arrow represents 2017 and an '8' represents 2018. Only units with a blue label and these dates are recalled.
  3. Immediately stop using and unplug the recalled Miffy First Lights.
  4. If you purchased the light at a local store, bring it back to the store to have the LED module replaced free of charge.
  5. If you purchased the light online, or if the retailer is no longer in business, take one photo of the blue label on the bottom and one photo of the date embossed under the right foot, and email them along with your shipping address and phone number to bluemodule@mrmaria.com to receive a free replacement module.
  6. For additional questions, call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772.
