Summary

HeathCo is recalling about 7,800 Heath/Zenith 270° Motion Security Lights (model SL-5414-WH) because internal wiring can be damaged during installation, bulb replacement, or adjustment. This damage can expose live wires and lead to an electric shock. These white, aluminum and plastic wall-mounted fixtures were sold exclusively at Home Depot stores between September 2011 and April 2012 for about $30. Consumers should immediately stop using the light and contact the company for a free replacement fixture.

Risk

The internal wiring of the light fixture can become damaged during routine handling, such as replacing a bulb or adjusting the sensor's position, posing a serious risk of electrical shock to the user. No injuries or incidents have been reported to date.
