Summary

Volkswagen Group of America is recalling approximately 61 of its 2025 Audi RS Q8, Audi Q8, Audi Q7, and Audi SQ8 vehicles because the driver and front passenger seat belt buckles may be missing a critical rivet. This rivet secures the buckle to the seat belt stalk; if it is missing, the buckle could detach during a crash. Dealers will replace both front seat belt buckles free of charge to resolve the safety issue.

Risk

A seat belt that is missing a securing rivet may not properly restrain a driver or passenger during a collision. This failure significantly increases the risk of injury to occupants during a crash.
