McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc. is recalling 70 Metro Pak vehicles from model years 2021 through 2025 because they may be missing required side and rear reflectors as well as rear clearance lights. These vehicles fail to meet federal safety standards for lighting and reflective equipment. To fix this, McNeilus will install the missing reflectors and lights at no cost to owners. No incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this defect.
Missing reflectors and clearance lights make the vehicle much harder for other drivers to see, particularly at night or in poor weather. This decreased visibility significantly increases the risk of a collision.
Free installation of reflectors and lights.
Recall involves vehicles failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108.
