Summary

VANCRAFT LLC is recalling approximately 224 campervans from various models spanning years 2002 to 2024, including the Rover and Alltrek series. These vehicles are missing required Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) and altered certification labels. Vancraft will mail the necessary labels to owners free of charge to ensure vehicles comply with federal safety standards.

Risk

Missing weight capacity labels can lead to owners unintentionally overloading the vehicle with passengers or cargo. Overloading exceeds the vehicle's designed limits, which negatively affects handling and braking, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is one of the affected models: 2002-2006 Campervan, 2014-2023 SWB or LWB Campervan, 2023 LWB Campervan Pro, 2023-2024 Rover, Rover XL, or Alltrek.
  2. Look for the Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) and altered certification labels; if they are missing or appear incorrect, your vehicle is part of this recall.
  3. Vancraft will mail labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 19, 2024.
  4. If you have not received your labels or have questions, contact Vancraft customer service at 1-888-381-7333.
  5. For additional information, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
