Summary

Autocar, LLC is recalling approximately 80 of its 2022-2024 DC (Legend) commercial vehicles. The vehicle's horizontal exhaust diffuser may be incorrectly positioned, causing it to vent hot exhaust fumes directly toward the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel tank. Dealers will inspect the diffuser and reposition it as necessary to ensure it vents safely away from the fuel system at no cost to owners.

Risk

The misdirected hot exhaust fumes can overheat the CNG fuel tank, which significantly increases the risk of a vehicle fire.
