Summary

Altec Industries is recalling approximately 43 of its 2021-2023 CB5-132D-S vehicles that are equipped with a Bobcat 260 welder on a track system. The welder on these vehicles may be misaligned, which prevents the mounting fasteners from being properly tightened during assembly. Altec will provide a free repair by properly aligning the welder and tightening all fasteners to ensure it is secure.

Risk

If the mounting fasteners are loose, the Bobcat 260 welder can detach from the vehicle while it is in motion. This creates an immediate road hazard for other drivers and significantly increases the risk of a crash.
