Summary

Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling approximately 3,734 of its 2025 G580 vehicles because incorrect wheel bolts may have been installed during manufacturing. These incorrect bolts can cause the wheels to loosen or even detach from the vehicle while driving. Owners can have the wheel bolts replaced by a dealer free of charge.

Risk

If the wheel bolts loosen or detach, the driver could lose control of the vehicle or a detached wheel could become a road hazard, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is affected by searching your 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the NHTSA.gov/recalls website.
  2. Contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer to schedule a free replacement of the wheel bolts.
  3. For more information, contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
  4. Call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for additional details.
