Mark of Fifth Avenue Children's Robes Recalled Due to Violation of Federal Flammability Standard and Burn Hazard

Summary

Mark of Fifth Avenue is recalling about 10,000 Star Art in Linen-branded children's 100% polyester robes. These long-sleeved robes were sold in six sizes and seven colors (black, navy, blue plaid, red plaid, red, royal blue, and gray) online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com between August 2019 and June 2021. The products are being recalled because they fail to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, and consumers can receive a full refund by following specific destruction instructions.

Risk

The fabric used in these robes does not meet federal flammability safety requirements, which creates a significant risk of the garment catching fire and causing burn injuries to children. While no injuries have been reported to date, the hazard exists under normal use conditions near heat sources.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately take the recalled robes away from children and stop using them.
  2. Check the sewn-in side seam label of the robe to confirm it is 'Star Art in Linen' branded, '100% Polyester', and 'Made in China'. Affected colors include black, navy, blue plaid, red plaid, red, royal blue, and gray in sizes 2 through 12.
  3. Consumers can receive a full refund of the purchase price of the garment by cutting the robes in half, taking a photo of the cut garment, and sending an email to mofaproductsafety@gmail.com with the photos.
  4. Contact Mark of Fifth Avenue by email at mofaproductsafety@gmail.com or visit https://www.markoffifthavenue.com/ and click 'Recall & Safety Info' at the bottom of the page for more information.
  5. Call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 if you have additional questions regarding this safety recall.

Your Remedy Options

๐Ÿ’ฐFull Refund
