Summary

Manhattan Toy is recalling about 22,100 'Manhattan Ball' activity toys sold exclusively at Target. The toy's plastic tubes can detach from the center ball, releasing small silicone teether pieces and creating a choking hazard for young children. Six reports of tubes detaching have been received, including one instance of a child putting a separated teether in their mouth.

Risk

The soft plastic tubes on the toy can break away from the hard center ball, allowing small silicone teethers to slide off. These small parts pose a serious choking risk if swallowed or inhaled by an infant or toddler.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your 'Manhattan Ball' activity toy for the lot codes 325700EL or 325700IL, which are printed on the hard plastic center ball along with 'The Manhattan Toy Company' name.
  2. Immediately take the recalled toy away from children to prevent access to the small parts.
  3. Return the recalled toy to any Target store for a full refund.
  4. Alternatively, contact Manhattan Toy at 800-541-1345 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Thursday, or email help@manhattantoy.com for more information on receiving a refund.
