M&P Blintzes, Pirozhki, and Vareniki Recalled for Undeclared Wheat and Milk

Summary

M & P Food Productions, Ltd. has recalled various frozen Russian-style prepared foods, including M&P Food Products Blintzes, M&P Delicacies Pirozhki (pies), and M&P Vareniki (dumplings). Approximately 1,136 pounds of blintzes and vareniki and 4,520 pieces of pirozhki are affected because they contain wheat or milk that is not declared on the product labels. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat or milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The recalled items were distributed to retail stores in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and Michigan between August 2023 and August 2024.

The products contain wheat and milk, which are major allergens, but these ingredients are not listed on the packaging. Consuming these products could cause a severe or life-threatening allergic reaction in individuals with a wheat or milk allergy or sensitivity. No incidents or injuries have been reported to date.
