M.C.I. Foods, Inc. has voluntarily recalled 1,370 cases of ready-to-eat breakfast burritos and wraps because a cooked egg ingredient tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products include Cheese and Egg with Green Salsa Breakfast Burritos, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Burritos, and Egg and Cheese Breakfast Wraps. These items were distributed to institutional distributors and are not intended for direct retail sale. Risk

The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
