Summary

Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. is recalling 295 motorhomes, including various 2022-2023 Allegro Bay, Breeze, Phaeton, Red 360, and 2023 Allegro and Red 340 models. The non-leaching hose connected to the liquid petroleum gas (LPG) regulator has a fitting that may leak fuel at the swivel joint. Dealers will inspect and replace the affected LPG hoses free of charge to prevent potential safety hazards.

Risk

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source significantly increases the risk of a fire, which can lead to property damage or serious injury.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your vehicle's model and year to see if it is one of the affected 2022-2023 Tiffin Allegro Bay, Breeze, Phaeton, Red 360, or 2023 Allegro or Red 340 motorhomes.
  2. Contact a Tiffin Motorhomes dealer to schedule a free inspection and, if necessary, a replacement of the LPG hose fitting.
  3. If you smell gas or suspect a leak, safely shut off the LPG supply and avoid using any ignition sources (such as lighters or appliances) until the vehicle has been inspected.
  4. You may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661 regarding recall number TIF-127.
  5. For additional information, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
