Summary

Winnebago Industries is recalling approximately 4,616 of its 2020-2023 View and Navion recreational vehicles. The liquid propane (LP) fuel line in these vehicles is routed too close to the rear wheel well, which can cause the line to rub against the tire. This contact can damage the fuel line and lead to a gas leak. Owners can have the LP line secured with secondary cable ties by a dealer to resolve this issue.

Risk

A damaged fuel line can release gas near the rear of the vehicle. If this gas leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, it significantly increases the risk of a fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if you own a 2020-2023 Winnebago View or Navion recreational vehicle.
  2. Contact an authorized Winnebago dealer to schedule a free repair where they will secure the LP fuel line using secondary cable ties.
  3. If you have questions, contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885 and mention recall number 170.
  4. For additional information, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
