Summary

Spartan Fire, LLC is recalling 48 vehicles, including 2023-2024 Gladiator, 2024-2025 Metro Star, and 2024 KME Panther models equipped with specific independent front suspension assemblies. The bolts that hold the lower control arm in place can become brittle and snap after they are tightened during assembly. Spartan Fire will replace these faulty bolts for all affected owners free of charge.

Risk

If a bolt head breaks off, it can be launched from the vehicle as a projectile, creating a strike hazard for people nearby. Additionally, the failure of these retention fasteners could compromise the vehicle's suspension stability, increasing the risk of an injury or crash.
