Summary

Volkswagen is recalling 546 vehicles, including certain 2023-2025 Atlas, 2023-2025 Atlas Cross Sport, and 2023-2024 ID.4 models. These vehicles may have bolts on the chassis, brake system, or suspension—including the engine mounts, control arms, and subframes—that were not properly tightened during manufacturing. To fix this issue, dealers will replace the affected bolts free of charge.

Risk

If the bolts on the chassis, brakes, or suspension system are loose or fail, the driver could experience a sudden loss of vehicle control, which significantly increases the risk of a crash.
