Summary

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling approximately 519 of its 2023-2024 Pilot vehicles due to a significant manufacturing error. Honda will replace the electric power steering rack in affected vehicles at no cost to owners.

Risk

A loose ball bearing within the steering gear box can cause the steering to suddenly lock up or result in a complete loss of steering control while driving, which significantly increases the risk of a crash.
