Summary

Ducati North America is recalling 1,440 of its 2025-2026 Streetfighter V4, Streetfighter V4 S, Panigale V4, and Panigale V4 S motorcycles. Excessive heat can damage the rear brake hose located between the ABS control unit and the brake caliper, which may cause a sudden loss of rear braking power. To fix this issue, authorized dealers will replace the thermal shield free of charge.

Risk

A sudden loss of rear brake function significantly increases the risk of a crash or injury to the rider. Heat damage to the brake hose can lead to fluid leaks or pressure loss, preventing the rear brakes from engaging when needed.

What You Should Do

  1. This recall involves 2025-2026 Ducati Streetfighter V4, Streetfighter V4 S, Panigale V4, and Panigale V4 S motorcycles affected by potential heat damage to the rear brake hose.
  2. Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the NHTSA website at www.nhtsa.gov/recalls or contact a Ducati dealer to confirm if your motorcycle is included in recall SRV-RCL-26-001.
  3. If your motorcycle was previously repaired under recall 25V013, you must still have this new remedy completed, as this recall expands and replaces the previous one.
  4. Contact Ducati North America customer service at 1-888-391-5446 to schedule a free appointment with an authorized dealer to have the thermal shield replaced.
  5. For additional questions, call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
