Summary

Hendrickson USA is recalling 12 Vantraax trailer slider suspension and axle assemblies (part number VANTRAAX.34502) that are equipped with Haldex Brake ModulT Gen II Air Disc Brakes. The recall was initiated because the retaining clip in the brake pad assembly may be loose or detach completely. All 12 affected units have already been inspected and repaired by the manufacturer, so no further action is required by individual owners for these specific assemblies.

Risk

A detached brake clip can damage the brake pad and reduce stopping performance, or it can damage a tire valve and cause a flat tire. Additionally, the clip could fall onto the road and become a hazard to other vehicles, increasing the overall risk of a crash.
