Summary

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC is recalling approximately 402 vehicles, including various 2025 and 2026 Freightliner, Western Star, and Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) models. The brake caliper mounting bolts on these vehicles may loosen or detach, which can result in a loss of braking ability or cause damage to the tire and wheel assembly. No incidents or injuries have been reported to date. Dealers will inspect and tighten or replace the brake caliper mounting bolts as needed, free of charge.

Risk

Loose or detached brake caliper mounting bolts can cause the vehicle to lose brake function or experience wheel damage. Both conditions significantly increase the risk of a crash and a loss of vehicle control.
