Summary

Approximately 2,500 Limoss Li-ion rechargeable battery power packs are being recalled because they can overheat, creating a risk of fire. These black, 6-inch by 3-inch battery packs were sold as accessories for Palliser, Flexsteel, and Best Home Furnishing power recliners and lift chairs between November 2011 and August 2012. Limoss has received two reports of overheating, including one incident that resulted in fire damage. Consumers should immediately stop using these battery packs and contact Limoss for a free replacement.

Risk

The lithium-ion battery packs can overheat during use or charging, which poses a serious fire hazard. One reported incident has already resulted in fire damage to property.
