Summary

Qaniy is recalling approximately 2,240 Kori Gey-branded Water Elf Toy Kits because the LED light component contains a button cell battery that is easily accessible to children. The toy kits, which allow children to create squishy jelly-like figures from gel and water, were sold exclusively on Amazon.com from March 2025 through July 2025 for about $30. Consumers should immediately stop using the light-up component of the kit and contact Qaniy for a full refund.

Risk

The battery compartment can be easily opened by children, allowing access to the button cell battery. If swallowed, these batteries can cause severe internal chemical burns and fatal injuries in as little as two hours.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if you have the Kori Gey Water Elf Kit by checking the packaging for the 'Kori Gey' brand name and 'Water Elf Kit' printed on the front of the plastic jar.
  2. Immediately stop using the toy's light-up luminous gasket (the white LED light disc containing a button cell battery) and take it away from children.
  3. Remove and properly dispose of the button cell battery following your local hazardous waste or recycling procedures.
  4. Throw the toy's gasket/light disc in the trash and take a photo of the discarded product.
  5. Email the photo of the discarded product to changshaaoyuan@outlook.com to receive a full refund from Qaniy.
  6. Call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 or visit www.cpsc.gov for additional information regarding this recall.
