Summary

Approximately 140,000 Kids Korner brand zipper hooded sweatshirts are being recalled because the zipper pull can detach. These boy's, girl's, and toddler's fleece sweatshirts were sold in 62 different prints and solid colors in infant and toddler sizes up to size 4. There has been one report of a zipper pull detaching, though no injuries have been reported. Consumers should immediately stop using these sweatshirts and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Risk

The sweatshirt's zipper pull can break off or detach from the garment. If a young child finds the detached metal piece, it poses a serious choking hazard.

What You Should Do

  1. Check the labels of your Kids Korner brand fleece sweatshirts for the size (infant to toddler size 4) and manufacturing details.
  2. Identify affected sweatshirts by looking for a white label sewn into the lower left inside seam that reads 'Inter-American Products, Lahore, Pakistan'.
  3. Verify if the style number on that label ends in 8025, 8025P, 8128, 8128P, 8174P, 8251, 8326, or 8326P.
  4. Check if the manufacture date on the label is March 2014, April 2014, June 2014, or November 2014, and if the batch number is 1, FLC-P5, FLC-P6, or FLC-P8.
  5. Immediately take the sweatshirt away from children and return it to any Dillons, Fred Meyer, King Soopers Marketplace, Kroger, Smith's, or Fry's Marketplace for a full refund.
  6. If you do not have a sales receipt, you will still receive a refund for the current retail price of the item.
  7. For more information, contact Kroger at 800-576-4377 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit www.kroger.com and click on 'Recall Alerts'.
  8. Contact the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 if you have additional questions regarding this safety recall.
