Summary

Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 121,509 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles from model years 2014 through 2017. A component in the front suspension known as the upper knuckle joint may crack, which can cause the suspension arm to detach from the vehicle. Land Rover dealers will inspect the knuckles and either install a retaining bracket or replace the part for free.

Risk

If the suspension arm detaches while the vehicle is in motion, the driver could lose steering control and handling, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. This recall involves 121,509 vehicles including the 2014-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models where the front suspension upper knuckle joint may crack.
  2. Contact an authorized Land Rover dealer to schedule a free inspection of your vehicle's front suspension knuckles.
  3. The dealer will either install a retaining bracket or replace the knuckle, as necessary, to prevent the suspension arm from detaching.
