Summary

Volkswagen Group of America (Audi) is recalling approximately 1,899 model year 2023 Audi RS E-Tron GT and E-Tron GT vehicles. These electric vehicles may have insufficient sealant on the high-voltage battery housing, which allows liquid to leak into and accumulate within the battery pack. This defect can lead to electrical arcing and a potential fire, though dealers will test and replace the batteries as necessary to resolve the issue.

Risk

The accumulation of liquid inside the high-voltage battery can cause an electrical short or arcing, which significantly increases the risk of a vehicle fire.
