Summary

Volkswagen Group of America is recalling approximately 44,387 Audi vehicles from the 2021 model year, including the A6, Q7, Q8, and several other models. A software error can cause the instrument panel display to fail, preventing the driver from seeing the speedometer, safety warning lights, or other critical information. Audi dealers will update the instrument panel module software for free to correct the issue.

Risk

A blank or failing instrument panel prevents the driver from seeing the vehicle's speed or safety alerts, which increases the risk of a crash.
