Summary

Sock and Accessory Brands is recalling approximately 14,500 John Deere infant baseball caps because the button on the top of the hat can detach. If the button falls off, it poses a choking hazard to young children. The gray caps feature a green tractor design and were sold in a 6-12 month size at Tractor Supply Company and various farm and ranch stores. Consumers should immediately take these caps away from children and contact the firm for a full refund.

Risk

The small button on the top of the cap can break away from the fabric, creating a small part that an infant could swallow or choke on. No injuries have been reported to date.

What You Should Do

  1. Check the inside of the infant cap for a sewn-in care label located at the back to identify if it is affected.
  2. Verify that the label contains style number 'JSH721HF' and the manufacture date '11/2016'.
  3. Immediately stop using the recalled cap and take it away from young children.
  4. Contact Sock and Accessory Brands Global toll-free at 877-429-7637 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday to receive a full refund, including the cost of shipping.
