Summary

Forest River, Inc. is recalling approximately 2,315 trailers, including certain 2022-2024 No Boundaries (NOBO), 2023-2024 RPOD, and 2023-2024 IBEX models. The fasteners used in the independent suspension system can loosen over time, which may cause the suspension to detach from the trailer. Owners can have their fasteners inspected and either replaced or secured by a dealer for free.

Risk

If the independent suspension detaches while the trailer is in motion, it can cause a loss of control or a crash, posing a significant safety risk to the driver and other road users.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your trailer's documentation or nameplate to confirm if it is a 2022-2024 No Boundaries (NOBO), 2023-2024 RPOD, or 2023-2024 IBEX model.
  2. Contact a Forest River dealer to schedule a free inspection of the independent suspension fasteners.
  3. If the fasteners are loose, the dealer will replace or secure them as necessary at no cost to you.
  4. For further assistance, contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-642-1612 and reference recall number 51-1727.
  5. Call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for additional information.
