Summary

Polestar Automotive USA, Inc. is recalling 3 model year 2023 Polestar 2 vehicles because the front left lower ball joint may have been incorrectly installed. This defect can cause the control arm to disconnect from the steering knuckle, leading to a loss of steering control. Dealers will inspect the vehicle and replace the ball joint fastening bolt as necessary at no cost to the owner.

Risk

If the control arm disconnects from the steering knuckle, the driver may lose the ability to steer the vehicle, which significantly increases the risk of a crash.
