Summary

Forest River, Inc. is recalling approximately 1,833 travel trailers, including certain 2017-2025 Coachmen Catalina, 2020-2025 Aurora, and 2025 Puma models. The Federal weight rating placard on these vehicles may list a weight capacity that exceeds what the safety chains are actually rated to handle. Forest River will mail owners a corrected Federal placard and installation instructions at no cost.

Risk

If the vehicle is loaded according to the incorrect weight rating on the placard, it could become unintentionally overloaded. This creates a risk that the safety chains could fail, significantly increasing the chance of a crash during towing.

What You Should Do

  1. This recall affects certain 2017-2025 Coachmen Catalina, 2020-2025 Aurora, and 2025 Puma travel trailers with incorrect weight information on their Federal placards.
