Jayco, Inc: Incorrect Tire Load Range On Label/FMVSS 110

Summary

Jayco, Inc. is recalling approximately 2,044 recreational vehicles, including 2021-2025 Entegra Ethos, Ethos LI, Jayco Swift, and Swift LI models. These vehicles were manufactured with an incorrect Tire and Loading Information Label that lists the wrong tire load range, failing to meet federal safety standards. This error can lead owners to purchase and install replacement tires that cannot safely support the vehicle's weight, which may result in tire failure and a crash. Jayco dealers will provide and install a corrected label free of charge.

Risk

The incorrect label may lead owners to install underrated replacement tires that are not strong enough for the vehicle's load. Using tires with an insufficient load rating increases the risk of a tire blowout or sudden failure, which can cause a loss of vehicle control and a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is one of the affected models: 2021-2025 Entegra Ethos, Entegra Ethos LI, Jayco Swift, or Jayco Swift LI.
  2. Contact a Jayco dealer to schedule an appointment for the free installation of a corrected Tire and Loading Information Label.
  3. Contact Jayco Customer Service at 800-283-8267 and reference recall number 9903614 if you have questions regarding this recall.
