Summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling 9,037 vehicles, including 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2021-2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio models, because the tire placards and manufacturer labels contain incorrect tire pressure and size information. These labels do not comply with federal safety standards for tire selection and rims. Owners will be mailed corrected labels and can have them installed by a dealer at no cost.

Risk

If tires are inflated or replaced based on the incorrect label information, it can lead to under-inflated tires or the installation of the wrong tire size, both of which increase the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is an affected model: 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia or 2021-2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
  2. Locate the tire placard (usually on the driver-side door pillar) and manufacturer labels to prepare for replacement with corrected versions.
  3. Once you receive the corrected tire placards and manufacturer overlay labels in the mail, you can apply them yourself or bring them to an authorized Alfa Romeo dealer for free installation.
  4. If you have questions or have not received your labels, contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 and reference recall number 81B.
  5. For additional information, you can also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
