Gulf Stream Coach, Inc.: 2024 Travel Trailers Recalled for Incorrect Tire Labels

Summary

Gulf Stream Coach is recalling approximately 90 model year 2024 Conquest, Independence, Trailmaster, Friendship, and Ameri-Lite (model 177BH) travel trailers. These trailers were manufactured with Federal certification labels that list the wrong tire size and tire pressure information. Gulf Stream will mail owners free replacement labels to ensure tires are inflated correctly and to comply with federal safety standards.

Risk

Relying on the incorrect label may cause owners to overinflate their tires. Overinflated tires can fail or cause a loss of vehicle control, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your travel trailer's Federal certification label to see if you own a 2024 Conquest, Independence, Trailmaster, Friendship, or Ameri-Lite model 177BH.
  2. Identify if your vehicle is one of the 90 units affected by verifying your model number and manufacture date with a dealer or by contacting Gulf Stream Coach.
  3. Watch your mail for a replacement label from Gulf Stream Coach; these were sent out beginning December 4, 2023.
  4. Apply the new, accurate tire information label over the incorrect label once it arrives to ensure you use the correct tire size and pressure.
  5. Contact Gulf Stream Coach customer service at 1-800-289-8787 if you have not received your label or have questions about your specific unit.
  6. For additional information, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
