Summary

Contract Manufacturer, LLC is recalling 142 of its 2023 LL TH10-20BK4CR, LL TU10-20BK4CR, LL EQ14-17+3, and LL EQ16-17+3 trailers. These vehicles were built with an incorrect axle size that is not strong enough to support the trailer's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Dealers will replace the undersized axle with the correct version free of charge.

Risk

The undersized axle can become overloaded during normal use and break while the trailer is in motion. If the axle breaks, it significantly increases the risk of a crash or loss of control.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your trailer's VIN and model name to see if it is one of the affected 2023 models: LL TH10-20BK4CR, LL TU10-20BK4CR, LL EQ14-17+3, or LL EQ16-17+3.
  2. Contact an authorized Contract Manufacturer, LLC dealer to schedule a free axle replacement.
  3. If you have additional questions, contact Contract Manufacturer's customer service department at 1-580-795-5536.
  4. Call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for more information regarding recall 22V738.
