Thor Motor Coach: 2023 Magnitude and Omni RVs Recalled for Incorrect Seat Belt Labels

Summary

Thor Motor Coach is recalling approximately 69 of its 2023 Magnitude and Omni recreational vehicles because the Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) label states an incorrect number of seat belts. The labels indicate that there are more seat belts available in the vehicle than are actually installed. To correct this, dealers will provide and install a new, accurate label at no cost to the owner.

Risk

The incorrect label may lead owners to believe there are enough seat belts for more passengers than the vehicle can safely accommodate. This could result in occupants being transported without being properly secured by a seat belt, which significantly increases the risk of serious injury or death in the event of a crash or sudden stop.

What You Should Do

  1. Confirm if you own a 2023 Thor Motor Coach Magnitude or Omni recreational vehicle.
  2. Check the Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) label on your vehicle and verify if the number of seat belts listed matches the physical number of seat belts available in the seating areas.
  3. Contact Thor Motor Coach customer service at 1-877-855-2867 to schedule a free appointment for a dealer to replace the incorrect label. Mention TMC recall number RC000281.
