Summary

Pirelli Tire, LLC is recalling 2,023 P7 Cinturato tires, size 245/45R18 100 Y, because they were manufactured with incorrect maximum inflation pressure markings on the sidewall. These tires may not meet the necessary strength requirements for the pressure listed on the label, which violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 139. Pirelli dealers will replace the affected tires with correctly marked ones at no cost to the consumer.

Risk

Tires with insufficient strength for their indicated pressure may fail during use, which can lead to a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash.
