Summary

Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is recalling approximately 534 Toyota Tundra vehicles from the 2022-2024 model years. These vehicles were equipped with a modification label that displays the incorrect load carrying capacity, which can lead drivers to inadvertently overload the vehicle. To fix this, SET will mail a new, corrected label to all affected owners free of charge.

Risk

An overloaded vehicle can negatively impact handling and tire performance, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your vehicle's identification to see if it is a 2022, 2023, or 2024 Toyota Tundra model distributed by Southeast Toyota Distributors.
  2. Review the load carrying capacity modification label currently on your vehicle; be aware that the weight limit listed may be incorrect and could lead to vehicle overloading.
  3. If your vehicle is affected, you will receive a new, corrected modified label in the mail from Southeast Toyota Distributors (SET) free of charge.
  4. Apply the new label over the incorrect label once it arrives according to the instructions provided in the mailing.
