Summary

Winnebago is recalling approximately 5,369 motorhomes including 2022 Ekko, 2020-2022 Minnie Winnie, Spirit, View, and Navion, as well as 2020-2021 Vita and Porto models. These vehicles were manufactured with an incorrect hitch label that displays inaccurate weight capacities. Winnebago dealers will install new, correct hitch labels for all affected owners free of charge.

Risk

The incorrect label can cause owners to unintentionally overload the vehicle's hitch. This excess weight can lead to a loss of vehicle control, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your motorhome is affected by checking your specific model and year: 2022 Ekko, 2020-2022 Minnie Winnie, Spirit, View, Navion, or 2020-2021 Vita or Porto.
  2. Contact a Winnebago dealer to schedule a free appointment to have the correct hitch label installed on your vehicle.
  3. If you have questions regarding this recall, contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885 and reference recall number 177.
  4. Call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for more information.
