Summary

Volkswagen Group of America is recalling approximately 17,797 Audi Q4 E-TRON and Q4 E-TRON Sportback vehicles from the 2022-2024 model years. These vehicles were equipped with incorrect headlight control module software that may prevent the parking lights from working properly when the headlights are on and the turn signals are used. Audi dealers will resolve this issue by updating the headlight control module with a new data set at no cost to owners.

Risk

The software error can cause the parking lights to fail while the turn signals are active, significantly reducing the vehicle's visibility to other drivers. This decreased visibility increases the risk of a collision, especially in low-light conditions.

What You Should Do

  1. Confirm if your vehicle is affected by checking your vehicle identification number (VIN) for Audi recall code 941L or NHTSA campaign number 24V361. Affected models include 2022-2024 Audi Q4 E-TRON and Q4 E-TRON Sportback vehicles.
  2. Contact an authorized Audi dealer to schedule a service appointment for a free software update. The dealer will update the headlight control module with a new data set to ensure the parking lights operate correctly.
  3. You may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 if you have specific questions about this recall or your vehicle's status.
