Summary

Pierce Manufacturing is recalling 8 model year 2023-2024 Enforcer, Quantum, and Velocity fire trucks. These vehicles are equipped with tires on the front steer axles that are incompatible with the wheels, violating Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120. Pierce will provide and install new front steer axle wheel/tire assemblies and updated information labels for all affected vehicles free of charge.

Risk

The mismatch between the tires and wheels on the front steer axle can cause the tires to separate from the wheels while the vehicle is in motion. This failure increases the likelihood of a loss of control and a subsequent crash.
